Iowa (part 2)

We had a great weekend up in Iowa. It was super busy and lots of fun and went WAY too fast! I love the time we get to spend up there!

Friday night we went out to my grandma’s house for a little while and the guys shot their bows outside. It was pretty windy…or at least, that was their excuse! πŸ™‚ We went to Mi Ranchito for supper (YUM!) and then went home and I watch a few episodes of Oprah behind-the-scenes of Season 25 that my mom had saved on her DVR.

Saturday morning the guys went out to the shooting range and shot their bows and all kinds of guns. Then we went to Subway for lunch (it’s practically a tradition). The guys went out to the golf range after that and hit a few balls and then they came back before it was time to go to the baby shower. The baby shower was pretty typical…full of baby games! Games such as “guess the baby food” and “guess what kind of poop-looking-candy bar is in this diaper.” Andy got to practice changing a baby’s diaper with all of his man’s emergency diaper changing kit. It was pretty cute. πŸ™‚

After the shower, I gave my best shot at giving Brian a hair cut. I borrowed all of Lindsay’s professional hair cutting tools and watched a few YouTube videos for training. It actually turned out pretty good..even if it did take almost an hour! πŸ™‚ Yesterday i noticed a piece of hair that is a bit longer in the back…it kinda curls around his head, so you don’t know it’s longer unless you hold it out…but its definitely a mini-rat tail! πŸ™‚ We’ve gotta get that fixed asap. πŸ™‚

That night we went over to Andy and Lindsay’s to help them unload all of their gifts, and then we had pizza and watched Survivor. Side note: Andy and Lindsay’s new rental house is SOOOO cute!!! Pretty sure Brian and I are a little jealous! I hope we can find a rental house like that down here in KC sometime soon! After dinner, Brian, Dad, and I went down to the archery league and I watched them shoot their bows.

Sunday we had church and had lunch, then we headed back. The weekends definitely go by WAY too fast! All in all, we had a great time! Can’t wait to head back soon!
